Hortonworks HDP Sandbox Env – A Complete Setup Guide

1. Link to download Hortonworks-Sandbox Environment –

           https://www.cloudera.com/downloads/hortonworks-sandbox.html

2. Link to download Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager.

https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

3. After installing Oracle VM, click on File ? Import Appliance

Import Virtual image downloaded in Step 1.

4. Select the image HDP_2.5_virtualbox.ova.(downloaded in Step1). Click Next ? Import.

5. Start the machine using Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager.

   

           

6.  Type URL – 127.0.0.1:8888 Then, Click on launch Dashboard.

7. Shutdown the HDP Sandbox Image, Click on ACPI shutdown for a clean shutdown.
